The Coyote Tracker -- Roundup review

TheCoyote Tracker -- 12/10/12 Roundup magazine by Phil Dunlap

The fifth in the Josiah Wolfe, Texas Rangers series is a radical departure from the first four novels. Josiah is a man haunted by his past, often to the detriment of his duties as a Ranger. Now, just when Josiah has finally been accepted back into the Rangers after a forced hiatus, his friend and fellow Ranger, Scrap Elliot, is arrested for allegedly murdering a prostitute, and all signs point to a hanging. Josiah sets aside personal conflicts to prove Scrap innocent. In a cruel twist of fate, he has only 48 hours to find the real killer or be left behind and lose his job. Josiah follows a trail of vague and elusive clues, nearly being gunned down in the process, but he never waivers from his calling in this exciting, fast-moving tale of Texas in the 1870s. Another excellent read from an accomplished Western writer.

So far a perfect series, Larry. You should be very proud of what you accomplished with this series.

Thanks, David, I am proud of this series. It was a great adventure writing these books (consecutively), and a challenge, at times, I could have never imagined. I hope Josiah endures...
