October Update

Here’s my writing update for October:

I’ll be signing my Josiah Wolfe novels at the IUPUI Barnes & Noble Bookstore, 420 University Blvd., Suite 155, in Indianapolis on 10/24 from 11AM to 1PM.

The Coyote Tracker received a nice review on the Journey of a Bookseller website.  You can find the review here: http://bkfaerie.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-coyote-tracker-by-larry-d-sweazy.html

Speaking of The Coyote Tracker, it will be released in hardcover, large print in January,  You can preorder it here: http://www.amazon.com/Coyote-Tracker-Josiah-Wolfe-Ranger/dp/1410454002/ref=tmm_hrd_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1350485240&sr=1-1

The next book in the Josiah Wolfe series, The Gila Wars, releases in May, 2013.  It’s available for pre-order now here: http://www.amazon.com/Gila-Wars-Josiah-Wolfe/dp/0425250687/ref=la_B002TR88MO_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1350485282&sr=1-9

This is the last book I’ve written for the Josiah Wolfe series, and I don’t have a contract for any more.  Josiah’s fate hangs in the balance.

I have a short story, “The Longest Night” in the new anthology from WF (Western Fictioneers), Six Guns and Slay Bells: A Creepy Cowboy Christmas.  This was a fun writing challenge, and the anthology promises to be a fun holiday read. My story is described as an “Epic battle between good and evil.”  I think that pretty much nails it.  You can order the book here: http://www.amazon.com/Six-guns-Slay-Bells-Creepy-Christmas/dp/1478189169/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1350485190&sr=8-2&keywords=six+guns+and+slay+bells

I have an article in the October issue of Roundup magazine in the Top 10 column: Tips on Indexing.  I’ll post that article in the coming days, once the magazine circulates.

Future appearances:

I’ll be participating in The Writer’s Toolbox, a writing workshop sponsored by the Noblesville Cultural Arts Commissioners on November 3.  For more information concerning the workshop (it’s $45.00 and includes lunch), contact John Davis at davis@cchalaw.com.  Kurt A. Meyer, and romance writer Susan Crandall, will also be facilitating at the workshop.

I’ll be at the Christmas Gift and Hobby Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on November 10th, from 10PM to 4PM.  I’ll post more details on this when I get it.

And finally, for the year (so far), I’ll be attending the Indiana Author Fair sponsored by the Indiana Historical Society, 450 West Ohio St., Indianapolis, on Saturday, December 1 from 11AM to 4PM. This a great event, and I have had the honor and privilege of attending it since the first Josiah Wolfe book was published in 2009.
