The Settlement of America: Encyclopedia of Westward Expansion

My contributor copy of  The Settlement of America: Encyclopedia of Westward Expansion from Jamestown to the Closing of the Frontier showed up today.  What a cool book, and a huge project, that I'm happy to be a part of.  Congrats to the editors, Jim Crutchfield, Candy Moulton, and Terry del Bene, who labored relentlessly and ushered this pair of fine books into existence.

Articles I wrote include: Arikara, Arikara War, Carlisle Indian School, Henry Atkinson, Hidatsa, Indian Removal Act (1830), Fort Mandan, Battle of Pierre's Hole, Ghost Dance, Sergeant John Ordway, and Redbird.
